So, here's the second part of :iconundyingsong:'s commission. Vampires, and what they are to me. Before, we had the snarly savage monster slaking his bloodlust on an unsuspecting victim. Now, it's the guy standing behind you in the elevator. To me, vampires can be well dressed, upstanding, normal citizens. Everyone. Like any other disease, vamprism doesn't see race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation. It's an equal opportunistic infection. Roanoke again, because I like drawing Roanoke. Pose ganked from 美少年の描き方〈2〉ポーズ集&ハウツー編 (単行本 ) It's a refrence book, that's what I'm supposed to do with it! I just realized I forgot to put black pencil on his eyebrows...

So, recently I took on an interesting commission from Undyingsong. It was to draw what Vampire means to me. Unfortunately, vampire means way more to me than can be put into one, single picture. So, I decided to make it a series. This is the first one. A vampire is...a being that is slave to it's own body's needs. You all know Roanoke, who's the sweet dorky vampire from my comic, Sacred Grounds. He's not always sweet or dorky, but he has to feed the animal within. When I very first think of 'vampire' I think of that inner struggle between what makes someone a person, and what makes them a monster. To me, vampires are sympathetic monsters. But it's a lot more complex than just that. Stay tuned for more.

So, I received a request from a friend to draw their character and their friends. This is what resulted. I'm, not really good with color. But, at the persuading of a few friends I'm giving it more of a go. This picture needs a few things to be fixed (Such as the black on the tail, and the color in the eyes) but the finished version will be for them only. Thanks for looking.
